I dunno what it is about this film maybe I relate it to my own teenage years and I know exactly what it feels like to be the professional slacker but eh I think it’ll be awesome.
A film festival about fashion in Paris, sounds amazing. This is the first and hopefully not the last. Various film-makers have gone out and made short films of the artistic nature, which try and show us there interpretation and understanding of fashion. Read More
I’ve always been a fan of the quirky romantic comedy. This actually looks like it’ll be an excellent movie.
I love the city of Tokyo. It’s always been some where I have wanted to visit. Naturally I was enticed by this film. It like Paris Je Taime, features stories of people from the city. The trailer looks interesting to say the least. Check it out.
I remember my first time watching Do The Right Thing and thinking man that’s fucked up when Buggin Out got his sneakers messed up, I do remember thinking he over reacted. So it’s the fifth day of the world renowned Cannes film festival (pronounced Can and Festiveleh). The festival opened with a Disney Pixar feature titled “Up”. Quentin Tarantino’s new effort “Inglorious Basterds” (which looks great) will also premier here and I can confirm Brad Pitt will most likely be in France for that. I’m going to go ahead and say Quentin is probably going to be bringing home his second Palme d’Or but what do I know, I haven’t seen his or any of the other films yet. All in all the festival is turning out to be a pretty exciting one because you know great movies, great location, great people, great cheese, what more can you ask for ? Well great fashion for one. Celebrities are always expected to impress when a red carpet is laid out and just because it’s an indie film festival doesn’t go to say Cannes is any different. You can see former Miss World and globally accepted pretty girl Aishwarya Rai proving my point in a Roberto Cavalli Dress. Read More
So as a comic book fan this was a film I was looking forward to this film for quite a while. I may have even been heard saying “best film of 2009” upon watching the trailer. It finally came out today (for those who live under a rock) and I watched it. Basically I thought it was great, it stayed very true to the comic book. It did have some aspects missing (the obvious one being tales of the black freighter but from what I hear we might get to see them) but overall it told The Watchmen story in a fantastic manner and what an epic story to hear. After all it was voted one of the hundred best books of all time ( yes books not comics, books). Read More
