As far as healthy foods go, you’d be hard pressed to name something a healthier than a good old pot of yoghurt. Not only is it easy to make yourself, it’s available in various varieties and flavours so that everyone can enjoy it.

As yoghurt is a dairy product it contains a high level of calcium and vitamin D which needless to say is good for your bones. It also reduces your risk of diabetes and helps you feel fuller helping you lose weight.

However a big problem is the yoghurt we most commonly consume may not be that beneficial because it is loaded with artificial sugars and colours removing all the good that the yoghurt contains naturally. So next time you’re in the store buy full fat natural yoghurt or better yet make it yourself and flavour it with natural flavours i.e. fruits, chocolate, nuts.
